MCA Amends CSR Rules to Allow Investment in Social Stock Exchange Instruments

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has amended CSR rules, permitting companies to fulfill up to 10% of their CSR obligations by investing in Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) Instruments issued by Not-for-Profit Organisations (NPOs) on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE). This change exempts companies from impact assessments for projects funded through these instruments.
