MCA Amends CSR Rules to Allow Funding Through Social Stock Exchange Instruments

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has amended CSR rules, permitting companies to fund CSR activities via zero-coupon, zero-principal instruments from NPOs on the Social Stock Exchange. This change, effective May 27, 2026, allows up to 10% of CSR expenditure for such instruments, aiming to simplify compliance and aid NPO fundraising.
