MCA Expands CSR Scope to Include Zero Coupon Zero Principal Instruments

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has amended CSR rules, allowing companies to use up to 10% of their CSR expenditure for subscribing to Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) instruments issued by NPOs on a Social Stock Exchange. This aims to simplify compliance for companies and help NPOs raise funds transparently for public welfare projects.
